What makes these knives superb is the steel used. Many knives are made with inferior grades of stainless steel. “Stainless” is a large group of steel alloys – many entirely unsuitable for blade use.
Grade 440 is capable of attaining the best hardness, sharpness and wear resistance of all the stainless alloys. Its very high carbon content is responsible for these characteristics along with superior heat treatment. Of course this is also more expensive – you get what you pay for.
A beautiful design, beautifully made and finished. This blade is tough, versatile and very collectible.
This knife is a beast! Very heavy but razor sharp. You could knock a nail in with the hilt. A beautiful knife for the hunter or collector.
